🇮🇹 “IL CIRCOLO ITALIANO” 🇮🇹

Course # O100

Tuesdays, 10:30 to 11:45 A.M :: July 6, 13, 20, and 27

Thank you for registering for my VIRTUAL Summer offering at OLLI!

I will be facilitating virtually via the ZOOM platform during this
Summer 2021 session at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Wilmington, Delaware.

On these pages, you’ll find all of the materials and other information you will need in support of the four class sessions in July.

I started “Il Circolo Italiano” in January 2021 when the pandemic lockdown was imposed, and it quickly became a big hit! Think of this ‘Circolo’ as a ‘club’ of like-minded folks; a virtual gathering of OLLI members – interested current and former students of Italian – who love everything-Italia and Italian!

It’s not just about La Bella Lingua, though that’s certainly an important part of Il Circolo Italiano. It’s also about the love of Italy’s culture, the arts, food, sights and sounds, cinema, humor, and of course… her people.

Italian-speaking is NOT required, but ALWAYS encouraged! However, an understanding of spoken Italian – from basic and beyond – is important in order to derive all the benefits of this program.

There is no textbook requirement and perhaps just a tiny bit of homework – mostly reading.

Now, the excitement continues!

COMING IN JULY ➜ The Circolo’s library pages will activate just prior to the first meeting. Once it opens up, to access the Circolo’s Home Page, simply click on the course link in the menubar shown at the top of every page. You will be able to access additional resources via submenus in the menubar at the top. Using these submenus, you will find links to any handouts and other materials for you to download throughout the summer session. Where applicable, you will also find links to additional resources.

I hope you derive much knowledge, pleasure and satisfaction from my virtual sessions! BENVENUTI!!

GRAZIE MILLE!!
